A successful community pharmacy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacist Manager to join their dynamic branch on a full-time basis.A busy high street branch with a support team that includes a full time ACT and Supervisor and a good relationship with the local surgery. There are good transport links with easy access to the M1 & M18. Currently dispensing 11,000 items on average per month.

Alongside the dispensing of medication, you will also be supporting the needs and expectations of our patients through the various local, enhanced, and essential NHS services. These include NMS, DMS, CPCS and FLU as well as private services including ear care, acne, pneumococcal vaccinations, alcohol reduction and weight loss programmes.

In a managerial capacity, you will also be providing line management to the support staff while also ensuring the branch is run safely and effectively. Good communication is essential in order to build good relationships with not only the support staff, but also customers and other healthcare professionals.

Key Duties

  • Effectively line manage your branch with the support of your supervisor.
  • Coach and develop your team to deliver on the company goals and targets.
  • Maintaining a professional and welcoming approach to all aspects of the role
  • Providing expert clinical advice to customers
  • Support the supervision and training of new staff
  • To check prescription medicines to patients, checking the form, strength, dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely labelled and supplied
  • To abide by the GPhC code of ethics, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligations
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and health care professionals
  • To keep up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses for the purpose of continuing professional development

  • Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-18:00 / Saturday 09:00 - 12:30
