ABC Teachers are recruiting for a Primary Teacher with prior experience in Key Stage 2 to work on a full-time basis in a Year 6 class in the Walsall area, starting from January 2025.

The Role

This role will:

  • Have full class teacher responsibilities, including parent-teacher evenings and extra-curricular duties.
  • Involve preparing, planning and assessing classwork in line with the role’s expectations.
  • Require familiarity with the national curriculum for Year 6 and have prior experience with SAT's.
  • Begin in January 2025 and continue until the end of the academic year.

Requirements

To be considered for the Year 6 Teacher position, you will:

  • Be confident in your teaching ability with prior experience supporting pupils in Year 6.
  • Have a genuine passion for enhancing the learning of older primary pupils, helping them prepare for the transition to secondary school.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with both students and colleagues and adapt to the individual needs of pupils while maintaining regular communication with SLT and parents.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, particularly with older primary pupils.
  • Hold a valid QTS and relevant Key Stage 2 experience.
  • Have or be willing to obtain a DBS registered on the Update Service.
  • Be able to provide references from your most recent and most relevant employers.
