Elevations Design & Projects division are working with a specialist manufacturing business based in Sheffield on a business critical Project Engineer position.

You will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of engineering projects. You will support project management efforts, ensure technical excellence, and maintain compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and management of projects to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and propose solutions to maintain project timelines and quality.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives
  • Prepare and review detailed engineering and manufacturing documentation, including technical drawings, schematics, and production instruction
  • Ensure all engineering outputs align with company standards and customer requirements
  • Maintain accuracy and clarity in technical documentation to streamline manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Create and review method statements, risk assessments, and Health & Safety plans in compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct safety studies and ensure the inclusion of robust safety measures in all project phases.
  • Ensure contract milestones and deliverables are met within agreed project timelines.
  • Minimize project delays and rework by maintaining technical accuracy and effective planning.

Key Education / Experience: 

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in project engineering within a manufacturing or similar technical environment.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to produce and review complex engineering drawings and documents.
  • A solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
