Title: Production & Materials SupervisorLocation: Sheffield Salary: up to £35,000Elevation Recruitment Group are thrilled to be partnering with a manufacturing client in Sheffield, who due to internal restructuring, are looking to recruit a Production & Materials Supervisor.  The Production & Materials Supervisor will work alongside the Head of Business Units to facilitate the smooth running of product & materials through the business to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) plan. Benefits include:

Key duties of the Production & Materials Supervisor will include: 

  • Assess data, compare vendor proposals, and make data-driven purchasing decisions that align with company objectives
  • Ensure on-time delivery by managing production flow and coordinating with planners and stores
  • Maintain live production boards, lead daily meetings, and ensure alignment with the MPS plan 
  • Support stock takes, manage non-conforming parts, and drive quality and team development
  • Support the Business Unit Manager in managing a team of Operatives, Welders, Testing and Inspection teams

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • Knowledge of lean principles (5S) and experience in manufacturing environments
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication abilities with the confidence to make decisions and coordinate others effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable working towards production targets and deadlines
  • Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
