2BM Recruitment Ltd are representing a client with an exciting opportunity for a permanent Production Team Leader on a fulltime basis in Sheffield. Working Mornings (6am-3pm) & Afternoons (1pm-10pm) shifts, weekly rotating, Monday to Friday with overtime paid at premium rates. Job Details:
As a Production Team Leader, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills managing a team of up to 20 shopfloor operatives within a production manufacturing. Your daily duties will include:
- Leading team briefings, monitoring production schedules, identifying training and performance management, implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Setting and monitoring team KPI’s and planning team training / personnel development identifying areas of improvement.
- Leading Shop Floor morning meetings to plan days production and reporting production issues.
- Identifying and highlighting production issues early to reduce down times.
- Supporting the shop floor shift managers and progressing production processes within lead times to ensure a high level of customer delivery and quality is achieved.
- Responsibility for H&S and 5S Audits and Safety talks, with an emphasis on the importance of implementing and following H&S throughout the shop floor.
- Reporting efficiency figures for key processes and implementing improvement plans.
We are looking for team leaders that have strong management skills, and a passion for making improvements. We’re looking for the following skills, qualifications, and attributes:
- Experience within a production, engineering, or manufacturing environment with strong management skills.
- The ability to understand processes and lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and health & safety experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to direct staff effectively.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision, make decisions with confidence and hold the team accountable.
Your Pay & Benefits:
Production Team Leader / Shift Team Leader, Permanent role working Morning & Afternoon shifts weekly rotation, Monday to Friday, 44 hours per week. Paying a starting salary circa £38k per annum + Bonus + Premium OT rates + Excellent Benefits Package.
