The Nexum Group are looking for a M&E Project Manager for our valued client based in Sheffield.
The role of the Project Manager is to provide management and direction to Supervisors and a team of engineers/specialist sub-contractors.
You will be responsible for ensuring Supervisors, Operatives and Sub Contractors are compliant from a technical perspsective from commencement to completion of works, providing support to them as is reasonably required, assisting with the day to day running of the team, creating and hitting daily objectives, as well as being part of running small projects.
There will be opportunity for you to progress your own skills within the role/company.
The role also requires you to ensure that all activities are in line with Health and Safety and Quality Business Management System procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all the team, operatives and specialist sub-contractos are maintaining a high levelof Health and Safety
- Minimise exposure and risk across projects
- Pursue excellence in all aspects of business
- Plan and manage the teams departmental activities in accordance with the agreed budgets and timescales and within policies and standards
- Set targets (SMART) for all team members
- Develop relevant personal skills and capability through planning and attending training courses
- Undertake site surveys using Site Audit Pro or similar formats to produce reports and attend meetings
- Maintain and develop the corporate image and reputation of the company
- Engage and manage subcontract resource
- Manage project deliverables in line with the project plan
- Organise work groups and team meetings
- Liaise with relevant teams/departments

Requirements:
- Relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Policy development and implementation
- Project Small Works, planned and reactive maintenance supervision and management
- Multi-skilled - Electrical Bias, knowledge of fire alarms, emergency lighting, access control and Nurse Call System would be advantageous
- Report writing
- Problem solving and decision making
- PC literate
- Apprentice trained/NVQ 3 minimum
- Level 3 Elec Installation/IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition, Electrical Inspection and Testing C&G 2391-52 or equivalent
- NICEIC QS Experience
- Level 4 Award Design and Verification of Electrical Systemes C&G 2396
