Job Summary

Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our clienrs team in Sheffield. As a key member of our team, you will oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning to completion. Your role is crucial in promoting a positive health and safety culture, supervising construction workers, tools, and materials, and conducting regular safety inspections. To be successful in this role, you must have experience in internal and external refurbishment works, including EWI, roofing, PAS works, structures, and FRA works and Construction methodologies.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight
  • Manage all duties from inception to completion, with a focus on promoting a positive health and safety culture.
  • Supervise construction workers, tools, and materials to ensure project progress and quality.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Project Planning
  • Collaborate with team members to develop project strategies and designs.
  • Create and maintain project schedules and coordinate project activities.
  • Construction Management
  • Oversee project progress, working closely with supervisors and the communications team.
  • Safety Management
  • Ensure on-site safety through risk management and risk assessment, while enforcing safety procedures.
  • Relationship Building
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts, ensuring regular communication and reporting progress.
  • Staff Management
  • Manage and develop reporting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

 

Experience / Skills

Construction Knowledge

Excellent understanding of construction, building regulations, and legal guidelines, with experience in social housing/apartments refurbishment works.

  • Strong organisation and programming skills to effectively manage project activities and schedules.

  • Demonstrate excellent initiative, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and ensure project success.

  • Certifications
  • Hold valid certifications such as SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and CSCS Black / Gold / White Card.
