Company Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor on a permanent basis. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead high-value infrastructure projects within the Severn Trent Water framework, working on some of the most critical water and wastewater developments across the region.

The Role:

As the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects within the Severn Trent Water framework. You will manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and design to construction and handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role will require effective leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects within the Severn Trent Water region.
  • Lead project teams, including engineers, site managers, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring all project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Implement and oversee health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment at all project stages.
  • Report regularly on project progress, risks, and performance to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practices in project delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Project Managment experience within the water or infrastructure sectors.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM) is highly desirable.
  • Water Sector Knowledge: Strong understanding of water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, and wastewater systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Communication: Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, capable of building strong relationships and managing expectations.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial controls effectively.
  • Health & Safety: Strong focus on HSE standards, with a track record of delivering projects safely.
