Buyer

This position is for a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry, based in Sheffield. The role involves managing procurement and supply chain operations within the company to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Description

• Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
• Evaluate suppliers, conduct interviews with vendors, and negotiate contracts and costs
• Oversee supply needs, identify shortages, and ensure timely delivery of products
• Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics
• Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts
• Review supplies to ensure quality
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Coordinate with team members and other company departments

Profile

A successful Buyer should have:

• Proven experience as a Buyer in the Engineering / Manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes
• Excellent negotiation and networking skills
• Proficiency in relevant software and databases

Job Offer

• A competitive salary of around 35,000 to 40,000 per year
