Operating from a state-of-the-art facility in Sheffield, our client manufactures high-integrity forged components from materials such as nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel, and carbon alloys. Their products serve critical sectors, including aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine, and oil & gas.We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join this dynamic and growing team. This newly created role is initially offered on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent position.About the RoleAs a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a crucial role within the accounts office, supporting key departments including production, sales, and maintenance. Your primary responsibility will be managing all materials and consumables orders, ensuring data accuracy and proper authorization.In this role, you will:
  • Manage and process orders for materials and consumables, ensuring timely and accurate procurement.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure effective communication and the smooth flow of orders.
  • Ensure all procurement data is accurate and orders are authorized in line with company procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounts team and other departments as needed.
You’ll be part of a fast-paced production environment, where safety is a priority. This means that when stepping outside the office, appropriate safety gear (including high-visibility vests and safety shoes) will be required (and provided).About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing administration, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience supporting accounts teams with procurement processes.
  • Excellent administration and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with both suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and related software.
