Role Overview

A skilled Quantity Surveyor is required to oversee the commercial and contractual management of multiple projects, ensuring profitability while maintaining ethical standards. This role involves working closely with management teams to provide commercial guidance and risk evaluation on contracts up to 20 million in value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate administration and completion of contract documentation.
  • Negotiate and procure subcontractors.
  • Prepare valuations, variations, and cost forecasts.
  • Advise management teams on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Identify potential risks and implement risk controls.
  • Maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including contract negotiation and cost optimization.
  • Support tender preparation and evaluation.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

  • Strong contractual and commercial awareness.
  • Confident in client interactions and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Experience in construction or engineering sectors preferred.
  • Familiarity with NEC form of contract.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience).
