Our client, a manufacturing business active in high precision markets with onsite machine shop and assembly hall, is seeking to appoint a Mechanical Assembler to their manufacturing team. This is a site based position without travel. The Mechanical Assembler will select parts, follow engineering drawings and work instructions to assemble and test precision engineered equipment, ready for it to be shipped to the customer. Previous experience in an engineering environment working to tight tolerances and exacting standards is required.
Mechanical Assembler - Role and Responsibilities - Workshop Engineer / Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Precision Engineering
* Building new equipment according to engineering drawings and build instructions
* Post build testing
* Report writing on faults as appropriate after analysing for root cause of failure after testing
* Responsible for the general cleanliness and care of main workshop
Mechanical Assembler - Skills and Abilities - Workshop Engineer / Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Precision Engineering
* Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
* Prior experience of working in a regulated high precision industry
* Able to carry out testing and fault finding as well as assembly activities
