Our client, a leader in environmental solutions, is seeking a driven and polished Business Development Manager (BDM) to join their growing team, responsible for securing large regional contracts across the North East of England and Yorkshire.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive Growth: Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for your territory, focusing on high-value contracts in the waste management sector.
  • Client Engagement: Identify and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including MDs, Procurement Directors, and business owners, to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Lead Major Tenders: Take the lead in managing proposals and bids, ensuring the company’s solutions are aligned with the customer's sustainability objectives.
  • Support Integration: Ensure a smooth handover of new clients to the account management team, providing continued support during the contract implementation phase.
  • Contribute to Sustainability: Play a key role in helping businesses meet their sustainability targets by offering innovative and effective waste management services.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Sales Experience: Proven track record in sales, particularly in service-led industries such as waste management, logistics, facilities management, cleaning, transport services, recycling, pest control, hygiene services, security, gas and oil delivery.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to think creatively and analytically, offering solutions that add value to clients.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience working on tenders and proposals with a good understanding of numbers.
  • Results-Oriented: Self-motivated, driven, and ready to take the next step in your sales career.
