Ranson Barnes Recruitment Ltd is excited to partner with a market leading and well established Sheffield based engineering company.

Due to further expansion, our client is now seeking a permanent Sales Professional with a demonstrable track record in the development of new business sales in the very wide and diverse field of Mechanical Engineering. It would be expected that the candidate be from a sales background and be target driven.

This is mainly an office-based role concentrating on generating leads and developing customer relationships.

Job Role

  • Identify leads and target relevant companies
  • Develop prospects from qualified leads
  • Engage with the prospect company to identify needs and opportunities
  • Secure enquiries for suitable contracts
  • Follow-up on submitted proposals and quotations to prospects
  • Negotiate and resolve any objections to the submitted proposal/quotation
  • Convert proposals and quotations to orders
  • Ensure the CRM system is utilised and updated to maximise sales opportunities
  • Maintain customer relationships to build repeat business

Ideal Experience

  • Ability to drive sales and build strong client relationships
  • Generating leads and identifying target contacts
  • Strong prospecting and sales experience
  • Track record of selling into relevant sectors
  • Experience of selling bespoke/high volume contracts
  • Experience of negotiating contracts

  • Ambitious, credible and technically minded
