Adecco are currently recruiting for an External Account Manager located in or around the Sheffield or Leeds area to cover accounts for the North of the country. With a company head office based in Wellingborough, you will be supported by an office based Internal sales representative. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a relaxed yet dynamic business environment, where every contribution matters.

You will be working collaboratively within a very experienced sales team, and must be motivated to assist the company in developing new and existing relationships to maximise sales.

Job title: External Account Manager

Salary: 30k+ (salary based only)

Location: Sheffield/Leeds area (Home/field based with occasional trips to Wellingborough, Northamptonshire)
**The ideal candidate will be located around Sheffield/Leeds close to the M1/A1. The accounts covered may be located anywhere between Derby up to the Scottish border and areas inbetween.**

Reports to: Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  1. Sales and Revenue Growth:
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to clients.
  1. Market and Product Knowledge:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services.
  • Provide clients with product updates, training, and support as needed.
  1. Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure client needs are met.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to align on account strategies and share insights.
  1. Reporting and Analysis:
  • Monitor account performance and prepare regular reports on sales activities, revenue, and client satisfaction.
  • Analyse account data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  1. Contract and Negotiation:
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial terms.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met by both the company and the client.
