Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated finance assistant, who possesses strong analytical skills, can also demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and who enjoys working with data and figures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reliable financial support to the financial controller. Key duties with be linked to processing payments from credit cards linked to Amazon sales and also web sales. Our client due to the nature of them supplying outside the UK, do have accounts in different currencies as well.

The role is 25 hours per week, ideally 5 hours per day - so this role will accommodate a mum who has school pick up and drop off as well.

Key Expectation For The Role:

Posting of E-commerce/Website cash receipts - in GBP, USD, EURO and CAD. Post to the sales ledger from credit cards, PayPal, Amazon reseller on a daily basis.

Reconciliationof all GBP and foreign currency bank accounts.

Reconciliation of company credit cards.

Posting of supplier invoices to purchase ledger.

Raising payments of supplier invoices through online banking and sending out remittance advices.

Communicate with all levels within Business and with external suppliers and clients.

Credit control and raising associated chasing letters.

Assist the financial controller with general accounting responsibilities and any additional required tasks.

Organise own work-load, meet set deadlines and demonstrate the ability to manage own work-load effectively.

Skills:

Previous book keeping experience is preferred within an SME setting.

Strong communication skills.

Strong attention to detail skills, with a key focus on finding solutions.

Good knowledge of all Microsoft products, in particular must be very experienced with Excel.

Ideally possess a minimum of AAT level 2.
