We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join the dedicated Finance Team at a dynamic charity. The role is pivotal in providing a high-quality finance function and supporting fundraising activities with precise processing of income from various sources. The Finance Assistant will assist the Head of Finance with daily financial management, including annual budgeting and monthly management accounts.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Process all forms of income accurately into the fundraising CRM and accounts package.
  • Ensure correct coding of gift and donation income with appropriate campaign, appeal, and fund details.
  • Reconcile income between the bank and the fundraising CRM.
  • Handle purchase invoices with proper authorisation and accurate coding.
  • Reconcile company credit card expenditure and process expense claims promptly.
  • Perform month-end bank reconciliations, including online donation platforms.
  • Process non-income and non-creditor payments efficiently.
  • Assist with month-end accounts, year-end accounts, audit, and annual budgets.
  • Manage monthly accruals, prepayments, and update grants spreadsheet.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT minimum level 2 (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience using accounting software
  • Experience using CRM system
