Finance Assistant22.5 hoursUp to £28k FTEElevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Sheffield area as they look to recruit a Finance Assistant into their team on a Part-Time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

  • All external invoicing for UK and US entities (including credit notes)
  • Maintenance of revenue recognition spreadsheet for deferred and accrued income.
  • Cash chasing for UK and US.
  • Review and redirect any invoice disputes as required
  • Direct update to VP of Finance for status of cash receipts and expected time frames for payment receipt
  • Ensure monthly statements are sent to all customers
  • Reconcile statements where customers have a discrepancy
  • Update Monday for all invoices in relation to NAV.
  • Ensure Us Sales tax exemption certificates are obtained as required
  • Assist with external audit queries
  • Run credit checks on customers
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as required as part of their role

Person Specification

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Well-organised with good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Experience with Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential
