Kenton Black are working with a friendly professional firm in the Sheffield area seeking to appoint a Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join their team undertaking a mixed role of both end to end payroll processing and accounts duties. This varied role offering a 70/30 split with accounts being the main duties, requires the successful candidate to have strong accounts preparation skills with knowledge of bank reconciliations, ideally some VAT returns to undertake client accounts preparation via SAGE accounts from client's records. The successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified or can work to that standard with a solid knowledge of Sage Accounts and payroll experience in a similar role within ideally an accountancy environment. This role offers autonomy for an experienced professional seeking to join a friendly office environment .

Your New Role As Payroll/Accounts Assistant:

You will be responsible for monthly/quarterly payrolls via Moneysoft for a variety of clients and in addition be able to prepare accounts, bank reconciliations, VAT returns with previous experience of working within a similar role within accountancy using Sage Accounts and ideally Moneysoft. You will be be passionate about providing a great client service and be able to hit the ground running.

Day to Day Duties :

Accounts preparation duties on a monthly basis via Sage Accounts
Bank Reconciliations
VAT preparation - desirable
Client liaison via email and telephone
Monthly/quarterly payroll processing end to end via Moneysoft
Some CIS (training provided)


Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply:

Ideally you will have c 2yrs+ previous accounts preparation and payroll processing experience within accountancy
Sage Accounts software experience
Strong client liaison skills
Accounts preparation and bank reconciliation experience
