Job Title: School Cover SupervisorsLocation: SheffieldCompany: Hays EducationJob Description:Hays Education is working exclusively with a number of reputable schools in Sheffield to place ad hoc members of staff as Cover Supervisors. We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals who can step in and manage classrooms effectively, ensuring a smooth continuation of students' learning in the absence of their regular teachers.Working as a Cover Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring that students are meeting their full potential and engaging with the work set for them. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the lesson, delivering work that is pre-set to groups of students from KS3 and KS4
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Ensure students remain on task with the work set by the absent teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
- Adapt to different school environments and classroom settings.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar capacity within education, or experience running children's groups such as Scouts, Brownies, sports coaching, or dance teaching/coaching.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ideal Candidates:
- Individuals who have worked in educational settings.
- Leaders of children's groups such as Scouts and Brownies.
- Sports coaches with experience managing groups of children.
- Dance teachers or coaches with a background in instructing and managing young learners.
