GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dynamic Female PE Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students, promote physical well-being, and instil a love for sports and fitness. We encourage applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), including those who have recently completed their training placements, for all teaching roles.

Key Responsibilities of the Female PE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to different abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote teamwork, resilience, and healthy competition through various sporting activities.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed during lessons and extracurricular activities.
  • Contribute to the school's wider sports program, including coaching teams and organising events.

Requirements of the Female PE Teacher:

  • Specialism in Physical Education with experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
  • Passion for promoting physical well-being and an active lifestyle.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.

Mandatory information:

  • The successful candidate must hold PGCE in the relevant subject with Qualified Teaching Status (QTS), or equivalent certification.
  • Be able to provide a ten-year career history with relevant reference details covering the last two years, including your most recent place of academic employment.
  • DBS sponsorship available for this position.
