GSL Education are looking for a Geography Teacher to join a lovely school in Sheffield. We need someone who can make learning about the world fun and exciting, teaching students about different places, maps, and people. About the Role: As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons, encouraging students to explore and understand the world around them. You will play a key role in preparing students for assessments, promoting academic success, and fostering a love for Geography.
Responsibilities For this Position:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality Geography lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop resources and activities to make learning accessible and engaging for all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the Humanities department and the wider school community.
- Support students in preparing for exams, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide reports as required.
Geography Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialist in Geography or a related field.
- Experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire curiosity in students.
- Commitment to promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
