GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and dedicated ICT Teacher to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. About the role:

As an ICT Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that cover key aspects of information and communication technology, from coding to digital literacy. You will motivate and inspire students to embrace the digital world, ensuring they gain the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in an increasingly tech-driven environment.



Responsibilities of the ICT Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons that align with the curriculum and excite student interest.
  • Teach a variety of ICT topics, including coding, programming, digital literacy, and data analysis.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and incorporate them into the curriculum.

 

Requirements of the ICT Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in ICT, with experience teaching at the secondary school level.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Effective classroom management skills, with a focus on creating a positive learning environment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
