Maths Teacher

Salary: £150 - £200 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full Time (Temp-to-Permanent for the right candidate)
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive school in Sheffield (S9) from January. This is a fantastic opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced Mathematics Teachers who are looking to inspire students, boost their love for maths, and help them achieve their academic potential.
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching engaging and challenging lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for mathematics. Responsibilities of the Teacher of Mathematics:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Create an engaging learning environment that encourages students to actively participate and develop their problem-solving skills.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to the different learning needs of students.
- Assess and monitor students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Collaborate with other members of the maths department to plan and share resources and best practices.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Prepare students for exams, ensuring they reach their full potential.
- Provide additional support to students who need help with their learning outside of class.
Requirements for the Maths Teacher:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Passion for teaching maths and helping students succeed.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage students.
- Experience teaching maths at secondary level (desirable, but ECTs are welcome to apply).
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
