GSL Education are seeking to employ a PE teacher to work forshort and long-term placements for a client school based in Sheffield, starting ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who must be hardworking, conscientious and full of energy, with a strong track record of raising attainment.

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality PE lessons that engage and challenge students. Whether you’re an experienced PE Teacher or a newly qualified teacher eager to start your journey, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking team.

As a PE Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Encourage and inspire students to participate in sports and physical activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Promote a positive attitude towards physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall development of the school’s PE curriculum.

As a PE Teacher, essential requirements include the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Physical Education.
  • Previous experience as a PE Teacher is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • A passion for physical education and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
