About the Role:
As a Teacher of Physical Education, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality PE education and inspiring students to develop a love for sports and physical activity. Key Responsibilities of PE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring all students are motivated and challenged.
  • Teach a range of physical activities and sports to students aged 11-16.
  • Organize and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events, fostering a sense of teamwork and enthusiasm for physical fitness.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners to enhance the PE curriculum and support student development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Promote health and safety in all activities, ensuring students understand the importance of safe practices.

Requirements of PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching physical education is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in physical education.
  • Commitment to promoting a love for sports and physical fitness.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in physical education (desirable but not essential).

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
