The Role:

As a Science Teacher, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your role will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Science lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress, providing constructive feedback to enable students to reach their full potential.
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that sparks curiosity and promotes scientific inquiry.
  • Supporting students in developing a deep understanding of scientific concepts and honing their practical skills.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative schemes of work and engaging resources.
  • Contributing to the wider school community by participating in extra-curricular activities and science-related events.
  • Staying up-to-date with developments in the Science curriculum and best teaching practices.
The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher who possesses:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science, with a preference for specialisms in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A creative approach to lesson planning and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
