GSL Education South Yorkshire is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Secondary Teacher to join a thriving and supportive school in Sheffield. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible, with the potential to continue through to January 2026.

Your Role
We are looking for a motivated and inspiring Secondary Teacher to create a positive learning environment and support student development. This full-time role requires lesson planning, engaging teaching, and active participation in school life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons to secondary-aged students.

  • Use effective assessment strategies to track and support student progress.

  • Differentiate lesson plans to support students with SEND and EAL needs.

  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and fellow staff members.

  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on progress.

  • Attend staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school events to contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements

  • Secondary Teaching Qualification with PGCE and QTS (or equivalent).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and staff.

  • Ability to plan dynamic lessons tailored to individual student needs.

  • Confidence in leading a classroom and directing support staff effectively.

  • Commitment to professional development and participation in school activities.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – sponsorship available on a conditional basis).
