Job Title: Teacher of English
Location: Sheffield, S9
Salary Range: £155 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

As a Teacher of English, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons, nurturing students' love for literature and language. You will inspire confidence in reading, writing, and communication, helping students develop essential skills for their future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in English, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum.
- Foster critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning and student engagement.
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted support and feedback to enhance achievement.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that caters to diverse student needs.
- Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with colleagues on department initiatives.
- Support students with coursework, exam preparation and career guidance related to English.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent.
- A strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
- The ability to engage and inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to high expectations.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
