Pyramid8 are recruiting for a Production Engineer based in Sheffield to work for a worldwide leading Life Sciences organisation. You will be joining a friendly, fun and highly experienced team. The Role

You will be joining our friendly and fun production office located on the Sheffield Business Park where we are responsible for the goods in and out and production.

As a Production Engineer, you will build and test the various instruments we manufacture, and as part of your daily duties, you will visually inspect PCBs being able to fault find down to component level. You will receive training on the specifics of each instrument.

You will also be required to provide technical support to our service department as well as having to collect and deliver parts from our local and national suppliers, using one of the company vehicles.

Your responsibilities

  • Building and testing instruments
  • Improving internal test procedures
  • Updating QA documentation
  • Supporting the R&D department
  • Supporting Service departing

Requirements

We are looking for an individual who along with their technical skills, strongly believes in, and cares about their work. You should be someone who proactively seeks ways to improve processes and outcomes to deliver results.

Essential

  • Attention to detail
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Level 3 Electronics & Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Confident soldering surface mount components down to 0402 sized
  • Experience with ISO 9001
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experienced in electronics manufacturing and testing

Desirable

  • IPC-A-6-10 trained
