Vision for Education are looking for versatile and passionate Behaviour Support Assistants, who can motivate, support and inspire our students in the classroom. The role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you’ll contribute to the delivery of appropriate non-teaching support in classroom situations and other settings, working with students with additional support needs on a 1:1 or group basis in accordance with the overall learner support plans.

We’re looking for Behaviour Support Assistants who have a range of direct experience of working with young people with behavioural difficulties who are presently attending alternative provision. You will also need a proven ability to motivate students and promote learning. Alongside this, you must have a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to travel to a variety of schools in the Sheffield area.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of Learning Support Assistant you will:

• Be reliable, flexible and creative!
• Have experience supporting children and young adults with learning and behavioural difficulties
• Have a resilient yet empathetic approach
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team, have a nurturing and caring nature and a genuine desire to make a difference
• Team teach training is highly desirable – we run regular courses for this training that are free of charge
