Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker

GSL Education’s South Yorkshire Branch are seeking enthusiastic people to join our Residential Team as a Residential Support Worker. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with Children aged 5 - 18, with Emotional Trauma and Challenging Behaviour. This is for a 1 bedded children's home in Sheffield.
Residential Support Worker Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other professionals to implement and regularly review individual care plans, ensuring the specific needs and goals of each young person are met.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure the living environment remains safe and secure.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, such as Incident Forms, Medication Administration Records (MARs), Logbooks, Handover Sheets, and hourly checks, in line with the specific requirements of the home.
- Organise and actively participate in recreational and educational activities designed to foster social skills, personal development, and community involvement.
- Provide guidance and support to young people in managing their emotions and behaviours effectively.
The Essential Requirements for Successful Residential Children's Support Worker:
- Experience in a care setting with Children.
- NVQ LEVEL 3 in Childcare Essential.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Strong Written and verbal communication.
- Willingness to engage with residents.
