We are seeking an Accommodation & Support Matching Officer to join a leading public sector team dedicated to assisting homeless individuals in Sheffield. This role is crucial in matching vulnerable people with appropriate emergency accommodation and requires a compassionate and proactive approach.

Day-to day of the role:

  • Match homeless individuals with emergency accommodation options such as hotels, hostels, and supported accommodation.
  • Engage empathetically with vulnerable clients, understanding their needs and circumstances.
  • Maintain regular communication with accommodation providers to manage current placements effectively.
  • Update and manage the system with accurate tenant details and placement dates.
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Confidence in handling phone communications with vulnerable individuals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
