I am now supporting Sheffield City Council in their recruitment of temporary social work assistant/support worker within their social work teams.All are £12 raising to £14.79 after 12 weeks or depending on experience the higher rate may apply. These are all 37-hour Mon to Fri roles

These are details•    To assist Social Work and other staff within the children's disabilities services to improve and maintain the quality of the service provided to children and families, within the requirement of current legislation, regulations and guidance as applied by the City Council. Hours are thirty-seven per week and support workers will need to be flexible and travel across the city to support our children with disabilities. The work base is Moorfoot building in the city centre. •    To provide support and advice to families and carers on how best to meet the needs of their children or young people.•    Participate in the development and implementation of plans for children who are looked after / Child in Need or Child Protection in accordance with their assessed need. To monitor and contribute to the review of such plans in liaison with social workers and other agencies.•    Support young people “in need” in securing and maintaining appropriate accommodation. •    You Need to demonstrate understanding and provides support for the complexity of relationships associated with some children and young people.For further info and full job specs please apply
