We are looking for an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join our team to help make a positive impact in the lives of children and families at risk.

Role Overview:

As a Qualified Social Worker in our Child Protection team, you will assess, manage, and oversee cases where children may be at risk of harm or neglect. Working directly with families and other agencies, you will ensure that comprehensive plans are developed and implemented to safeguard children and promote positive change. This role requires excellent judgment, resilience, and a strong commitment to improving children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and investigate cases of suspected child abuse or neglect.
  • Develop and implement safety plans to protect children and work with families to reduce risk factors.
  • Engage with children and families to provide support and develop trusting relationships.
  • Coordinate with multi-agency teams, including schools, healthcare providers, and law enforcement, to share information and make informed decisions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and participate in court proceedings when required.
  • Maintain accurate case records in line with statutory requirements and organizational guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England (SWE) registration.
  • Proven experience in child protection or a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, manage complex caseloads, and make critical decisions.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
