Position: Social Worker
Salary: 31 per hour
Sheffield City Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Children's MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in safeguarding and protecting vulnerable children in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking assessments and investigations of child protection concerns referred to the MASH team.
- Coordinating multi-agency responses to safeguarding issues, ensuring timely interventions.
- Making decisions regarding the appropriate level of intervention and support required.
- Collaborating closely with partner agencies, professionals, and families to promote the welfare of children.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Registered with Social Work England (or eligible for registration).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to team working.
