Social Worker - Children's MASH Team

Location: Sheffield

Position: Social Worker

Salary: 31 per hour

Sheffield City Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Children's MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in safeguarding and protecting vulnerable children in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking assessments and investigations of child protection concerns referred to the MASH team.
  • Coordinating multi-agency responses to safeguarding issues, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Making decisions regarding the appropriate level of intervention and support required.
  • Collaborating closely with partner agencies, professionals, and families to promote the welfare of children.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Registered with Social Work England (or eligible for registration).
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to team working.
