Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit an Embedded software engineer for their growing technical division.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer / Electrical Design to be involved in the design development and testing of embedded systems with a focus on reducing time to market on new features. You will identify issues and work collaboratively with engineers, product managers and other stakeholders (internally and externally) to support continuous improvement of existing products and processes.Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and problem solve the current electronics components and product portfolio
- Reduce time to market of new features
- Improve response to failures/bugs
- To design and build future platforms for a stable portfolio
- To test and debug the systems
- To review historical systems, trouble shoot, debug, improve, test and create efficient system for stability
We are keen to speak with Electronics Design Engineer with the following experience:
- Professional experience in embedded systems
- Degree in Computer science or Electronic Engineering.
- Programming experience in C or C++
- Experience in trouble shooting embedded systems
- Proficiency in working with common embedded systems communication protocols
- A good communicator at all levels with the proven ability of working as part of a team
- Exceptional analytical and proven solving skills
- Self-motivated
- Good time management with the ability to focus on task completion
