Technical Content Developer

Applause IT are recruiting for a Technical Content Developer for a leading company that develops and supplies commercial software libraries offering complex 3D algorithms for industrial applications across various sectors including manufacturing, construction, dental, and geotechnical. This role blends software development with technical communications, creating engaging content to drive commercial interest in their software.

Our client is an innovative company known for its technically focused Sales and Marketing team that works to illustrate the advanced capabilities of their product lines. These include Material Removal, Collision Detection and Machine Simulation for Machine Tools, CNC Controllers, Desktop and Cloud-based CAM, CMM, Optical Inspection, Additive Manufacturing and Robotics software. Through this role, they are aiming to improve the 'getting-started' experience for client software developers evaluating their technology.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively create tools, examples, demonstrations, PoCs, and MVPs.
• Generate technical blogs, images, videos, and other marketing content for public distribution.
• Manage the company's websites and develop targeted content for different industry verticals.
• Develop basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator for design and layout.
• Generate and post content on social media, particularly LinkedIn.
• Manage the CRM, including adding new contacts and designing CRM-based email campaigns.
• Monitor and publish metrics relating to CRM and social media campaigns.
• Manage the company's exhibits at international trade shows, liaising with trade show organizations and external agencies.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong written and verbal English language skills.
• Good attention to detail and technical writing skills.
• Understanding of 3D modelling principles, vectors, matrices, and geometry.
• Experience in software development using C, C++, C#, and WPF.
• Knowledge of 3D software development, OpenGL, DirectX, WebGL, HTML/CSS.
• Prior use of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and 3D modelling tools like Blender is advantageous.

Requirements:

• A 2:1 or higher degree.
• Self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Confident and capable of building and maintaining good relationships with prospects, partners, agencies, and contractors.
• Innovative and quick-thinking in problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to grasp complex mathematical and geometrical concepts.
• Understanding and implementation of good software practices including SOLID principles.
