About the Role:Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an engaging, enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join a primary school at the heart of the local community. The successful candidate will work with students across the whole school on a 121 and small group basis providing behaviour support with more challenging behaviours.
The role is a full-time position from Monday to Friday each week. The hours will be 8.30am-3.30pm each day.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Pupils: Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
- Classroom Management: Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Assessment and Feedback: Assist in assessing pupils' work and providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: Participate in and sometimes lead extra-curricular activities and school events.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to continually improve your skills and knowledge.
- Essential:
- Experience working in a primary school or young people setting.
- Prior experience working with a range of needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desirable:
- Additional qualifications or training relevant to primary education.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification.
- Experience in supporting children with more complex behaviours.
- Passionate: A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and helping them succeed.
- Patient: Able to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
- Creative: Innovative in your approach to teaching and able to inspire young learners.
- Organised: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
