Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an engaging, enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join a primary school at the heart of the local community. The successful candidate will work with students across the whole school on a 121 and small group basis providing behaviour support with more challenging behaviours.

The role is a full-time position from Monday to Friday each week. The hours will be 8.30am-3.30pm each day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Pupils: Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assist in assessing pupils' work and providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Participate in and sometimes lead extra-curricular activities and school events.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to continually improve your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Essential:
    • Experience working in a primary school or young people setting.
    • Prior experience working with a range of needs.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desirable:
    • Additional qualifications or training relevant to primary education.
    • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification.
    • Experience in supporting children with more complex behaviours.
