About Us:Hays are working with a number of secondary schools in South Yorkshire to provide pastoral support to their students. Our mission is to provide staff to help with a supportive and nurturing environment for students, ensuring every student feels valued, safe, and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Role Overview:We are seeking multiple compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Managers to join our team of educators. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional and social well-being of our students, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive pastoral care.This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to step up into a pastoral role.We welcome applications from candidates currently working with other agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pastoral care programs to support student well-being.
  • Provide one-on-one support and counselling to students facing personal, social, or academic challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to address student needs.
  • Monitor and track student progress, ensuring timely interventions when necessary.
  • Promote a positive school culture and environment that fosters respect, inclusion, and diversity.
  • Organise and lead workshops and activities focused on personal development and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, counselling, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a pastoral or similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
