Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? We are a specialist school in Sheffield seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team, working with secondary-aged children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with ASD and learning difficulties in accessing the curriculum.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support as required.
  • Help implement individual learning plans for students.
  • Offer emotional and behavioural support to encourage students' progress.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure each student's needs are met.

About You:

  • Patient, kind, and approachable with a genuine passion for working with young people.
  • Able to build trusting relationships with students who have varied needs.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, but not essential.
  • No formal TA qualification required, as we value enthusiasm and the right attitude.
