Tradewind Recruitment are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work across Integrated Resource Units within mainstream primary and secondary schools in Sheffield on a flexible supply basis.

Integrated Resources offer specialist support for pupils with a range of complex needs, often including Autism, communication and interaction needs, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties within a nurturing, inclusive school environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about providing meaningful support to children with special educational needs.

Your Role as SEN Teaching Assistant Will Involve:
  • Providing tailored support to pupils within integrated resource bases

  • Assisting with personal care, communication, and daily routines where required

  • Working one-to-one or in small groups to meet individual learning needs

  • Supporting inclusion within the wider school community

  • Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

We're Looking For:
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work, or voluntary roles considered)

  • A calm, nurturing, and flexible approach

  • Good communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
