We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants with experience in Braille and BSL to join our outstanding school in Sheffield. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to students with sensory impairments.
  • Utilise Braille and British Sign Language (BSL) to effectively communicate and support students.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and support the progress and well-being of students.
  • Facilitate inclusive activities and ensure accessibility for all students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar SEN Teaching Assistant role or a transferable position.
  • Proficiency in Braille and British Sign Language (BSL).
  • Confidence and a proactive approach to supporting children with special needs.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to enhancing student learning and development.
