We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school in South Sheffield for an ASAP start. This is a full-time role working with Key Stage 2 children who require additional support to achieve their full potential in English and Maths.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver boosters and interventions to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils who are working towards expected progress in English and Maths.
  • Provide phonics interventions, with a strong emphasis on Read Write Inc strategies.
  • Work closely with class teachers to identify pupils who need additional support and track progress.
  • Plan and deliver targeted interventions to improve outcomes in literacy and numeracy.
  • Support the learning and development of pupils in line with the school's curriculum and intervention programs.
Requirements:
  • TA qualification at Level 2 or above (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with KS2 children in a primary school setting.
  • Experience with Read Write Inc is essential, especially in phonics interventions.
  • A passion for helping children to succeed and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm, during term time only.
