I am currently supporting a 'Good' rated primary school located in the S8 area of Sheffield, committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for our students. Due to some internal changes within the trust, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a job share basis, working 2 days a week from Easter until the end of the summer term.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, teaching, and marking.
  • Collaborate with the job share partner to ensure continuity and consistency in teaching.
  • Provide a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Demonstrate good awareness and support for SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) within the classroom.
  • Ensure effective delivery of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Participate in relevant PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Prior experience teaching Year 2.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Good awareness and understanding of SEND.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
