We are working with a key partner whoarea well-established manufacturing business based in Chesterfield, known for producing high-quality machinery and maintaining a strong reputation within their industry. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and organised Stores Person with experience in SAGE 200 to join their team and play a vital role in managing inventory and supporting production operations.

The Role:
As a Stores Person, you will be responsible for the efficient management of our inventory and the smooth operation of our stores department. Using your experience with SAGE 200, you will ensure accurate stock control, timely procurement, and seamless coordination with other departments to support manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain stock levels, ensuring accurate records in SAGE 200.
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy.
  • Organise and store goods systematically to optimise space and accessibility.
  • Pick and issue materials for production according to job requirements.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
  • Liaise with suppliers to track orders and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with production and procurement teams to forecast and manage inventory needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised stores environment.
  • Monitor and report on key inventory metrics to management.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using SAGE 200 for inventory management is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good understanding of stock control principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
