About the Role

Ranson Barnes Recruitment is proud to be working with an ethics first and innovative Sheffield based manufacturer in the recruitment of a Procurement Manager. This fantastic opportunity has arisen due to a successful 2024 and requires someone who is passionate about all things procurement.

The role is standalone but you will be working closely with production and design departmental heads to successfully procure the necessary materials to aid both production and development to our client’s high quality standards.

Duties to include but not limited to

  • Source and negotiate with new suppliers
  • Performing service reviews with current suppliers
  • Attending production meetings
  • Regularly liaise with internal stakeholders, including Production, Design, Quality, Sales, and Operations
  • Produce run reports for the Operations team
  • Manage inventory levels and produce plans to manage any shortfalls
  • Analyse material/product usage to streamline waste
  • Support with client proposals
  • Work closely with the quality team on new products

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous Procurement/Supply Chain experience within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proven track record in supplier negotiation
  • The ability to be a creative thinker at times of pressure
  • CIPS level 4 or above is desirable
