Purchasing Manager required for our Manufacturing client based in Sheffield, S9.
Purchasing Manager Benefits:

Purchasing Manager Duties:
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve performance and support strategic goals
- Responsible for a supplier portfolio and will be required to optimise the flow of products from various sources
- Be driven to make cost savings across the business being able to source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability and delivery speed.
- Identify alternative Suppliers
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance purchasing processed and performance.
- Place and expedite Purchase orders (mainly done by other person in the team).
- Oversee the allocation of products from stock on our SAGE System.
- Manage 1 person within the purchasing team
- Attend Daily Meetings with Production Team to discuss and advise on purchasing issues that may affect Customer deliveries / Manufacturing.
- Attend purchasing meetings with the MD every 2 weeks or as requested.
- Deal with queries from Production on a daily basis.
Purchasing Manager Criteria:
- Minimum 2 years purchasing experience is essential
- Demonstrates a strong background in inventory management, and experience of negotiating commercial terms and delivery schedules.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
- Able to demonstrate strong business and financial acumen
- CIPS qualification is essential
