A Supplier Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in managing and developing strategic relationships with key suppliers in the public sector procurement and supply chain department. Description

As a Supplier Relationship Manager / Contract Manager you will partner with the business to oversee IT supplier service contracts, ensuring continued high levels of value and quality in service delivery and compliance.

  • Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships in the public sector.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives across procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Drive performance improvement of suppliers by setting and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives.
  • Implement supplier management plans based on strategic sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Support the development of procurement policies and procedures.

Profile

A successful Supplier Relationship Manager should have:

  • Previous worked within procurement (solid understanding of end to end procurement's) who has ideally focused on contract management.
  • Proficiency in supplier relationship management, stakeholder engagement and negotiations.
  • Knowledge of procurement principles and processes in the public sector, although would consider someone from the private sector.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret complex data able to present on finding.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards.
