Engineering Supervisor (Day or Night Shift) Permanent Positions

Venatu Recruitment Group—Automotive Division—Truck and Bus Sector is recruiting a day or night engineering supervisor for our client to oversee the maintenance and servicing of our vehicle fleet. This role ensures all vehicles comply with statutory regulations, leads an engineering team, and maintains operational efficiency.

Both day and night shifts are available.

Days Shift:

4 on 4 off

38.5 hours on a basic salary of £46000

OR

Nights Shift

4 on 4 off

38.5 hours on a basic salary £48600

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the maintenance and servicing of the fleet, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Lead, train, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
  • Allocate planned and unplanned work, including managing on-the-day absences.
  • Ensure vehicle availability aligns with operational requirements.
  • Support inventory management and warranty claim processing.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records, including fleet and environmental management data.
  • Handle disciplinary, grievance, and absence management procedures as per company policy.
  • Collaborate with depot operational teams to manage service performance, including vehicle allocation and breakdowns.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in an engineering field.
  • Experience in monitoring engineering work standards on Public Service Vehicles (PCV).
  • Knowledge of safe workshop operations and previous supervisory experience.
  • A full UK Driving License is required.
